Our Wayuu mochila bags are 100% handmade by the indigenous Wayuu women artisans of La Guajira, Colombia, the only group of artisans in the world who crochet in this style. The large, single-thread susu shopping totes take between 25-30 days for one woman to create, a craft that takes years to perfect. The geometric patterns are unique to the Wayuu tribe.
